About

About us

The Raglan Community House is for the people of Raglan… a place to hang out, learn new things, catch up with friends, get help with some of life's problems and stay connected with your community.

We're all about being respectful, empowering, nurturing and having integrity.

Our dream is to create a safe and healthy Whaingaroa.

From humble beginnings

The Raglan Community House has been providing a range of services to the people of Raglan since 1987, when a committee was formed and the centre was opened, staffed by volunteers.

After four years of fundraising, planning and construction The Raglan Community House at 45 Bow St opened in 1991.

The rest, as they say, is history...

Our strategic priorities

  1. Working with the community to provide services that make a difference to those who need it most.
  2. Working collaboratively to achieve our vision.
  3. Being a great place to work.
  4. Working sustainably.
  5. Working towards being a culturally safe and relevant organisation for local Maori of Whaingaroa.
